welcome

Hi, we're Modern Vintage. We love weddings, we love love & we love to sing while we set up. Our favorite part of the day is watching you, as a new couple, walk back down the aisle after the ceremony. That feeling of elation & pure joy is why we do what we do.

Vendor Spotlight: M.Hassell Designs & More

Mar 22

I love meeting people.  That is a huge part of the fun of planning events, you get to meet a lot of really great people, both those who are planning and those who help in the process.  Meeting Megan Hassell with M.Hassell Designs was no different.  She is fun, down to earth, easy to talk to and very creative.  Megan is a guru in all things paper and her designs are incredible.  We talked to her a little about the process and what she loves about it.

When designing invitations or wedding stationary Megan likes to be involved in the printing process and believes that the paper is a vital part of the aesthetics of the stationary.  I love paper and stationary so this is a girl after my own heart.  She also loves texture.  I am an advocate for texture, it can enhance invites, linens and just about anything.  Megan can do custom invitations and can work with any theme or parameters.  She is a vintage gal like us, but is very versatile in her design.

I LOVE this one with a diecut invite

If you are planning you might be like me and not realize the importance or work that goes into each invitation.  They can be completely customized and personalized for your wedding or event.  Megan will work with you to design invites and then research the best price from printers and print them for you.  Invitations are not the only thing that can be designed, she can do anything from escort cards, menus and programs to bottle wrappers, cupcake toppers and cupcake wrappers.  Imagine the detail possibilities?

The burning question is when should I send out my invitations?  Megan suggests 4-6 weeks for wedding invitations and 2-3 weeks for party or shower invites.  So how early should you order your invites?  She needs at least a week for design plus printing and shipping, not to mention time for you to get those suckers addressed.  To be safe, invites should be ordered about 4-6 months in advance.

Whether you need first birthday invites or wedding invites Megan is your girl for some fabulous paper!
