It’s Friday night morning and the moon is bright, gonna have some fun show you how it’s done D.I.Y.F. Ok, I couldn’t help but throw in the old T.G.I.F. reference. I kind of want to watch some Full House and Family Matters now. I actually had a friend growing up that I would spend the night with on Friday and we would craft (thanks to her crafty mom) and watch TGIF. We would also take a bath in our bathing suits, play with our magic nursery dolls and laugh hysterically. Here are some crafty things to get your weekend started:
I love paper flowers so today I am going to focus totally on paper flowers. One of my tried and true favorites is the accordion flower. We made them for a styled shoot, a bridal show, baby showers, you name it. There are also some hanging in my little girl’s nursery.
You can make them out of just about any paper you can think of. We used scrapbook paper and book pages. Literally all you need is paper, glue or a stapler (sometimes both), buttons (optional) and string to hang them. You can add embellishments as wanted. If you want to make these bad boys there is a great tutorial at A Subtle Revelry you should check out.
I feel like the possibilities are endless with paper flowers. They are inexpensive and can be so amazing. So I know you have all seen the tissue paper poms, but those big bursts are not the only flowers tissue paper makes. These flowers from Make and Takes are on my to craft list. (Yep, very long list.)
These next scalloped flowers from Papercraft Star I have seen made with felt or fabric but not with paper. They look a little labor intensive but oh so cute!
It’s spring, go make yourself a bouquet!! Enjoy the weekend and DIYF!!
