welcome

Hi, we're Modern Vintage. We love weddings, we love love & we love to sing while we set up. Our favorite part of the day is watching you, as a new couple, walk back down the aisle after the ceremony. That feeling of elation & pure joy is why we do what we do.

Murfreesboro Wedding Planners: Brittni + Andrew

Jul 17

You guys might remember Brittni and Andrew from their incredible Rock Island engagement session here.  I talked about how much I love this couple and I adore their families as well.  Speaking of families, Andrew’s sister is one of Brittni’s best friends.  In fact, they used to joke that Brittni would marry Andrew one day.  I think this one is every seventh grade girl’s dream, that your best friend would marry your brother thus making you sisters!

Their wedding was on Cinco de Mayo so they wanted a fun atmosphere and wanted to tie in some fun Mexican aspects, like margaritas and a papel picado banner.  We also kept some southern/vintage items like rocking chairs and wine barrels.

We made a ribbon backdrop that we were so excited about.  In fact, it is hanging in Jessie’s kitchen as we speak.

Isn’t that smile contagious?  I mean don’t you just want to be friends with her?

Andrew is so genuine and sweet, not to mention handsome.

This kind of love makes me all mushy.  I can’t get over just how much they adore each other.

Always one of my favorite moments in a wedding.

Let’s all just be this happy, ok?

The cakes, made my Jay Qualls were incredible.  Jay is one of my favorite people and he makes some of my favorite cakes.  The grooms cake was equipped with a backhoe and “dirt”.  (Beware, the pebbles on the table were real, they might break a tooth.)

We ordered the banners from Vintage Baby Doll on Etsy and were sooo excited with the way they turned out.  I may or may not want them at every party I have.

Shoes that would make Carrie Bradshaw swoon.

Instead of the standard bubbles or sparklers for departure Brittni and Andrew wanted to do an array of fun things so we did sombreros, maracas, ribbon wands and biodegradable confetti.  It was so fun to see everyone shaking maracas and having a good time till the very end.

We had such a great time working on Brittni and Andrew’s wedding!  I was sad to see it end.  We also had a pretty amazing team of vendors to work with.  It would be a book if I explained how great they are but, Ariel Renae rocked the camera, David rocked the reception, Angela put together some ah-mazing florals, the lighting was great, the rentals were perfect, the food was fun (mini fish tacos, need I say more), and the church was so easy as well!
