We loved everything about this wedding so much. Sam might just be the sweetest, kindest person we’ve ever met. She always has a nice word for everyone around her and can see the beauty in any situation. Jamie is her perfect match and they share such a deep, generous love for one another. We had so much fun working with them to capture the essence of their relationship and who they are as a couple. Heritage was a very important element for Sam to include and she chose Green Door Gourmet as the setting for her wedding because the working farm and beautiful landscape reminded her of her days on her grandparents’ peanut farm in Alabama as a child.
Sam’s grandmother was a Master Gardner and Sam carried her small garden spade with her bouquet to keep a piece of grandmother with her. The locally grown flowers from Basil & Bergamot’s nearby flower farm were the perfect nod to her grandmother’s love of growing beautiful things and tending the earth. From the beautiful heirlooms Sam kept with her on wedding day to the subtle nods to her and Jamie’s upbringing and the soft glow of the hundred candles in the barn, everything about their wedding was handpicked, heartfelt and beyond lovely. We were thrilled when their wedding was chosen to be featured by Southern Weddings Blog. Congratulations again, Sam and Jamie and here’s to many beautiful years together!
