When you work with people getting married you get to meet all kinds of couples and see all kinds of relationship dynamics. Emily and Josh, who you might remember from their engagement session here, are so at ease around each other, their love is genuine and refreshing. They were excited about marriage and totally had their priorities in line; one of them being to spend a lot of time on the dance floor at the reception, I knew I liked them for a reason. Their families are great and I can tell these two are in for an exciting life!
Emily and Josh’s ceremony took place at Wightman Chapel and their reception was at the home of Emily’s parents. Emily and her family are a inspiration when it comes to DIY. They made ribbon backdrops, ribbons for the trees leading to the house, hung mason jars in the trees, made the cakes, put together the bouquets and centerpieces, made the food, made cornhole sets and much more. I am tired just thinking about it, but they pulled it off really well. (P.S. the food and cake was sooo good!!)
Chris and Adrienne Scott, who are not only two of my favorite photographers, but two of my favorite people, worked their magic yet again and captured all the beauty of Emily and Josh’s wedding day.
When the guests arrived at the reception it poured. I don’t mean a couple sprinkles, but rained liked we needed to all get on a boat for forty days. Since this was the first rain we had in a month we were glad but hoping it would pass on by and come back to visit the next day. Emily and Josh took this completely in stride and the rain did pass just in time for their grand entrance.
We had so much fun helping with this wedding! Thank you Emily and Josh for letting us be a part of your amazing wedding day!
