You know what we love a lot? Cards! We love to send them (though we don’t do it often enough) and we love to receive them. When Paperless Post contacted us we were pumped to be able to show some love to some of our favorite vendors by sending them a card. Confession: when e-cards first came out (yeah, a long time ago), Jessie and I would sit and find them and send them to our friends. There was one that sang “It’s Raining Men” and the card was really raining men. Still one of my favorites ever.
You guys know we seriously love tangible paper but a beautiful card in your email inbox is a good thing too! We decided to put together a thank you for the people who help us to bring amazing weddings and events to life.
There are a lot of really cool options (both free and paid) for invites and cards for any occasion on. One of the things we love the most about paper is texture. While you may not be able to feel the texture through Paperless Post, they have a lot of options that look textural and that makes our hearts sing.
We have both used Paperless Post in the past for online invitations but this was the first time I have sent a card. The process was really easy. (I would venture to say that even my grandma would be able to do this. )
There were a lot of cards to choose from from designers and brands like Kate Spade, Oscar de la Renta, Rifle Paper Co. etc. I decided not to send a card about tacos (but wait for it, a Taco Tuesday card might be coming soon) but opted for a cute and fun thank you.
We are suckers for a good pun so that rooting for you card was one of our faves. Once you choose the card you can start to customize it. Some of the cards are free and some require coins to send. You can start with customizing the background, which adds a coin. Shocker, we chose a backgrond with a glass of prosecco on it.
In real life, we have a weakness for envelope liners. The same applies for an online card. Give us all the envelope liners please. Oh yeah, you can customize your liner and envelope color!
I loved all the options for customizing right down to the stamp and postmark on the envelope. (I do wish they had a good Nashville postmark though!) You can choose your font, font color and add photos to a card.
If you are doing an invite, there are options for all the pertinent information (like time, location, etc.) and customizable options for guest list, comments and gift registry. It is easy to preview the card and make changes to it right from the preview. (Again, I think grandma could do this!)
When it comes to adding email addresses, you can import from a list or add the email recipients manually. They even give you a link to a spreadsheet that you can download to plug in address. Once all your friends or invitees are in you just hit send and voila, sunshine in their inbox.
We chose to send a little bit of happiness and prosecco to everyone.
So happy Monday! Send someone a card, maybe event your grandma, to show them how much you appreciate them!
