welcome

Hi, we're Modern Vintage. We love weddings, we love love & we love to sing while we set up. Our favorite part of the day is watching you, as a new couple, walk back down the aisle after the ceremony. That feeling of elation & pure joy is why we do what we do.

Colorful, Heartfelt Winter Wedding

Dec 22

Vinita + Aron are two of the most caring people. Family is very important to them and they have meaningful connection with so many friends. They truly care about those around them.

Vinita and Aron met at a law conference while living in different states. Vinita was living in Washington DC and Aron was living in Birmingham. Their first date was in her hometown of Nashville. They realized quickly that they had a rare and special connection. On one of their dates someone dropped a cocktail napkin on the table that said, “You Should Marry Her. Roll Tide”. (Aron is an Alabama Football fan.)

When it came to their wedding they wanted it cozy, warm and elegant. They added many personal touches while truly considering their guests who traveled from all over the US, India, Europe and Australia. One of these touches included cocktail napkins to match the one from their date.

Their colors were deep burgundy and indigo with natural greens. They added a holiday feel without it feeling too much like a holiday wedding. They carefully selected fabrics from India to use on some of their guest tables and put thought into each color, fabric and texture on the tables. In lieu of favors they donated to a school for blind children in India and gave bookmarks made by the children to their guests.

Their speeches were heartfelt and truly showed how much love they had for one another and how much their families have for them. After dinner Vinita surprised Aron with a serenade of KC & JoJo’s “All My Life” and then the Motown band picked up with “I Found a Love” by Wilson Pickett. Aaron swept Vinita out on the dance floor and all the guests followed.

It was truly a night of celebration and love.

Vinita and Aron’s wedding was also featured in Nashville Bride Guide!
