Has anyone else noticed that there are babies everywhere? Maybe it is just my age but I feel like I hear another baby announcement every day. (You guys might feel that way about weddings.) My brother and sister-in-law just had their first baby last week and I helped in throwing her a shower about a month ago. Naturally I volunteered for the decorations part of the party.
They have a sweet little boy named Brycen so we went with a “What are Little Boys Made Of” theme. I did this same theme for my son Cian’s second birthday, it is somewhat dear to my heart.
The invitation is the same one that I used for Cian’s birthday but we changed the colors to go closer with the shower colors.
Any party of mine requires a dessert station. I mean how can you say no to “pup cakes”? We also did puppy chow (also known as muddy buddies), frog, snail and puppy cookies and dirt pudding.
I ordered a print from Etsy with the nursery rhyme and then bought a book of nursery rhymes for all the guests to sign for little Brycen.
Their favors were “puppy chow”, which is chex mix with peanut butter, chocolate and powdered sugar. It is goodness in a mason jar. I also made a little wreath for baby B and hit it among all the baby loot.
I always love crafting for a good party, but even better than that is holding my sweet nephew!
